I am not connecting to my LAN with the m6805

Here's the deal: I got the wireless on, it says it recognizes my network, but then does not connect. I have tried everything. When I put a wireless card in it immediately connected. what's up with that? Anyone else have this problem? Is my Netgear wireless lan just too old to use with the 54g? I am hoping this is a simple I am stupid thing and not a deal with the wireless on this laptop...

Is your 802.1x Authorization off or on? If you don't use authentification then this should be off.

I found the problem. Thanks for the reply RxGx. I didn't have the network set to open. I had it set to auto so it did not allow the 54g card to access it. It's all good and I am surfing faster than fast... :cheers:

You should change that, especially if live anywhere remotely urban/suburban.

Configure your router so it only takes your mac id's and so that you use the best encryption it is capable of.
