Hello everybody. I need some help....

I purchased a M6807 nearly a month ago and I absolutely love it... EXCEPT when I try to play a game.

Almost any game I try, the laptop locks up after a small amount of time. The laptop is on my desk with no obstructions with a block under the back end to permit more airflow. I have fiddled with countless settings trying to fix this issue, but to no avail. I will list the settings I've messed with:

- AGP 4X
- FastWrites
- Virtual Memory settings
- New drivers (Omega 4.1)
- Virtual? Recover

Any ideas? If anyone else is using this laptop (or the M6805 of course) for games without issue, could you please post as well? I need to know if I should drive over an hour to return this laptop.

Thanks!

I've played Halo, Unreal 2003 & 2004, Max Payne 2 on my 6807 with nary a glitch, stutter, or hiccup; even overclocked 10% sometimes! I think you need to send yours in for repair, unfortunately - there's nothing inherantly wrong with the machine for playing games, in fact it's a screamer!

I've been playing Call of Duty, Medal Of Honor (and expansions), Battlefield 1942 (and expansions), Age of Empires I & II, Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds, and several other older games without any hiccups or problems.

I have the default drivers installed and no OCing.

I switched my AGP speed back down to 4X (had done this once before, but it didn't stick).

I haven't locked up since.

Thanks for the input, everyone.
