Hi, I recently installed a bigger harddrive in this Notebook, when I did it wouldn't boot up. So I put the old harddrive back in and it still doesn't boot up. The power light is on but nothing happens. What could I have done? Is there a system reset or a saftey switch? Thanks Joe L.

I'd assume you might have accidently shorted something. Can you check the pins for the hard drive very carefully. See if any of them are bent etc.
Also, try booting your system up with no hard drive in it. Its not required for simple booting (obviously it won't boot the OS).
Second, you may want to check the bottom for some sort of reset switch. My 675 has a tiny hole on the bottom with an arrow drawn around it (in a circle) that I'm 99% sure is the reset switch.
other good ideas include removing the battery for awhile (5-10min) with the power cord unplugged, then plug the power in and try to start it up.

My old laptop is a solo 2500 and a year or so ago I replaced my harddrive and didnt have that problem, although I also replace the cd rom, and when I took the heat sync off, I put It all back together and turned the computer on and just like you said, nothing come up on the screen, but the power light come on. But what had happened the video card wich sets right under the heat sync had come unseated, so I turned off the computer, took the heatsync back off and pressed down on the video card, once again put it all back together, and then the screen come up and worked as normal. But it could be several different things that may have happend, but that was the deal in my case. Maybe that gave you some help. Something else you may want to try, when the computer comes on, go to bios (F2) and make sure you have you boot up sequence set to cd rom or floppy, wich ever you are using to boot back up and install your os.
